Bums Bay Broadwater cruise and light lunch 3 Hrs
Originally called the marine stadium when it was constructed as part of the Seaway and spit stabilisation project in 1986 it became known as Bums Bay, as more and more people living on all sorts of boats anchored up in the calm waters surrounded by sandy beaches.
Recent changes in the law have put limits on how long a boat can be anchored in one place on the Gold Coast and so Bums Bay has changed somewhat although you can still anchor here for free. Nowadays a variety of yachts flying flags from all over the world anchor up in the Bay while they visit the Gold Coast. On this cruise the Rum Runner too anchors up in the Bay for a lunch of fresh bread rolls and tasty fresh meat and cheese platters.

Hope Island Discovery Cruise 2 Hrs with morning or afternoon tea.
Discover the creeks that make Hope Island an island. Bridges have lessened the significance of this geographic fact, but to the early settlers Hope Island was as much an island as Stradbroke. You needed a boat to get to it. Captain Louis Hope built a sugar mill here and crushed cane for nearby growers who brought their cane in floating punts on the creeks and rivers. Today there are wetlands, huge waterside houses and even locks in these secluded waterways. This cruise can be combined with a local lunch venue for a great day out.
